Sun/Age Spot Removal

Lets talk pigmentation! Our skin is made up of melanin, which determines our skin colour. When we go in the sun, more melanin is produced and you might think, great, I’ll get a tan! But, it’s not so great when certain spots overproduce, leaving you with darker spots or patches of skin!

They’re harmless, but they’re just there, hard to disguise, getting on your nerves, but let laser help you!

I use the 532nm wavelength tip on the laser which loves brown colours, it interacts with it, damaging it so that when you heal, the sun spot starts to fade. More than one treatment is usually needed to completely remove sun spots but some clients just want them to be less noticeable, so your consultation is really important for me to find out what you want to achieve.

Does it hurt?

Like lots of laser treatments, yes it does! It feels like a hot elastic band pinging on your skin, but it’s over really quickly, and it’s totally worth it when your sun spots fade away.

How do I look after it’s been done?

The area turns white after the laser interacts with it (in laser we call this frosting) and this fades 10 minutes after treatment. The area will be a little red, lightly inflamed, but this is usually minor, will scab and you will be healed in 7 days. Sorry ladies, no makeup over that area until it’s healed, it needs to stay clean and dry! You also need to make BFFs with SPF after this procedure as your skin will be sensitive to light once healed and there’s no point in removing in the pigment if you’re going to encourage it to come back!

So how much is it to be sun-spot free?

£65 for a small area or 3 sessions for £180 (aftercare cream included in packages)

£90 for a medium area or 3 sessions for £240

£120 for a large area or 3 sessions

All the above pricing tiers will be discussed at the consultation stage.
